Prologue 2: Shichiseishi Update
Two years have passed since Yuuki Miaka and Hongo Yui turned the last page of the ShiJinTenChiSho, ending its mysterious play. Within the last two years, all Seishi slain during the war of the Mikos were reawakened into the Modern world. Slowly and unconsciously, the Seishi migrated to Japan and reunited with their Mikos.
Passing their entrance exams, Miaka and Yui started Yotsuba High School this year as second year students. Their experience within the book changed them drastically. Miaka matured quite a lot, by taking her studies seriously and passing her classes. However, she certainly did not lose her enormous appetite.
Yui grew up as well. Her faith in Miaka was restored, although she hadn't completely forgiven herself for not trusting her friend. Slowly, but surely, though, her faith in herself was returning little by little.
Tamahome, or Sukunami Taka, graduated high school last year. Immediately afterwards, he attended night school, working on a degree in Accounting. Still very much in love, he and Miaka remained together even after everything.
Listeningly closely, groups of girls giggled over the lastest pop hit by Andy Wong. Most people knew him only as the Chinese pop singer, however, to Miaka, he was known as someone else entirely: Hotohori-sama, the late emperor of Konan. Officially staying in Tokyo, he began a tour in Japan, visiting Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki.
Unfortunately, Nuriko's whereabouts remained unknown. The only thing known, however, was that he used the alias "Joe" and worked for an anonyomous agency as a spy. Occasionally, when not on a mission, he visited Japan to see his Miko and friends, just to keep in touch. To tell anything else meant certain death at his hands.
The quiet Suzaku healer, Mitsukake, strangely wasn't the doctor the others thought he chose as his profession. Instead, Juan Pedro Martnez became a well-known professional soccer player from Brazil. After answering his Miko's call, he transfered to Japan's team.
Child genius Duke Prio, better known as Chiriko, began Jonan High School. The Canadian, along with his new American friend, Daniel Jackson, were foreign exchange students who earned a chance to attend any prestigious school in the world. Strangely, he felt the need to attend a school in Japan.
There remained some friction between the Seishi of Suzaku and those of Seiryuu, but each tolerated the other for their Miko's sake. Ironically, some of both groups previously worked together or became friends.
Transferring to Japan with most of the Seiryuu Seishi in tow, Nakago or Hertz Reynold became the CEO of Computronic, Inc. Originally from Germany, the former Kutou general struggled behind a computer desk, and now, calculating strategies for outdoing his new employer's competition.
Traveling around the world with Andy Wong, Soi or Dana Primrose headed his make-up and fashion crew. Also, the native Brit opened her own line of cosmetics and a clothing company.
Daniel- Amiboshi- and his twin brother Seth- Suboshi- Jackson both signed up for the foreign exchange program. Daniel's excellent school record allowed him to attend the same school as Duke. Unfortunately, because of Jonan's high grade standards, Seth, whose grades run average, had to transfer to Yotsuba High.
Aaron McCarthy, better known Ashitare, rebuilt most of the building in his hometown in Scotland. After seeing how trendy and functional his constructions were, a humongous architecture company hired him as their chief architect. Later, the Scotsman, at the request of Hertz, traveled to Japan and started his own successful business.
When not flocking to Andy's concerts, others swarmed to the theaters around Tokyo to see the hot, new romantic drama starring Rong Zu You. He turned out to be Seiryuu Seishi Tomo. Like Jackie Chan, he received his start in the Chinese Theater. Though prefering the stage, he knew that performing in motion pictures bettered him financially.
Strangely, everyone knew that Miboshi's real identity was long forgotten, him having told the Seishi he had moved to several different bodies. What they didn't know was that he was originally a she. Now, Miboshi or Misha Tchakovsky is a Russian psychic investigator, visiting ancient tombs, monuments, and cemeteries all over the world.
The two remaining Seishi in the ShiJinTenChiSho returned to their lives as if nothing had happened, but with their memories and were forever changed. Chichiri began wandering again, mostly fishing and helping those in need. Tasuki and his bandit clan returned to raiding the rich folk- and giving some to the poor, of course- at the base of Mt. Reikaku.
And, as for the ShiJinTenChiSho itself, the book disappeared. The following day after returning from their second journey, the girls walked to the library to get rid of the book so no others would go through the trials and heartache that they had. But, when they got there, it was gone and the its space occupied as if it were never there.
