Summary:
So far, Yugi, Kaiba, Marik, and Joey have made it into the finals of Kaiba's Battle City Tournament. As they approach Kaiba Island, the battlefield for the finals, someone, named Noah, takes control of Kaiba's blimp. When they land, Noah demands that the duelists exit the blimp. Everyone, except Mai, Ishizu, and Odion. Strangly, Marik stayed behind on the blimp as well.
It seems Noah has teamed up with the Big Five (B-5), the Kaiba CEOs that Kaiba and Yugi defeated when they trapped Kaiba in the VR world. Noah has set up an even better VR world and he and the B-5 want revenge. The plan is for each of the B-5 to challenge any of the guys. If the B-5 member wins, they get to take over their opponents body and the opponent is trapped in the VR world like them. They've also changed some of the rules in the Duel Monsters to suit to their plot.
After everyone was separated, Yugi- big surprise there- was challenged the first CEO; I can't remember his name. The CEO explains some new rules that are used in the VR Duel Monsters. Now, players must choose a Deck Master (similar to the Duelists of the Rose game) and if the Deck Master is killed, regardless of Life Points, that player automatically loses. Also, the DM has special abilites that can be activated at any time. To make a long story short, Yugi, with Kuriboh as his DM, won and now he's trapped in a room that repeats itself.
Meanwhile, Tea winds up in a desert canyon and is captured by teal, barbaric Cyclops who want her for dinner. She wakes up and a rope falls down the cliff to her. A penguin dropped it! Anyway, she climbs up and runs away from the Cyclopses. She runs into the penguin again and it leads her to a fortress with more penguins. A fairly large penguin greets her and introduces himself as the second of the Big Five. He challenges her. Her choice of DM is Dark Magician Girl.

Thoughts:
My opinion of Kaiba keeps getting higher and higher. I just love him. The very first part of these episode really shows how much of a softie he is despite his abrasive attitude. Regardless of the circumstances, he is always looking after Mokuba. Awww!
I really love Yu-Gi-Oh, but the dubs corny lines are a bit irritating. Especially the whole "heart of the cards" crap. I know it was dumbed down for kids, but damn, it's so intelligence insulting. I realize that I kinda sound like a hypocrite, but the two reasons I watch the show are what cards they're gonna use during the show and Kaiba. I want to see how he turns out at the end of the series.
Kuriboh is so kawaii! According to the new rules, each player has to choose a Deck Master, which happens to be a new rule in the Duelist of the Rose game. Well, Yugi was going to pick Dark Magician, but Kuriboh comes to life and leaps out of his deck. So kawaii! This happens to be a good strategy because Kuriboh saves Yugi and happens to be the winning factor to the game.
So far to me, Serenity, Tristan, and Duke being in the VR world is totally useless. One, they don't play Duel Monsters; two, the only thing that's happened to them is Duke and Tristan fighting over Serenity- gag me! I really don't like her voice; it's so annoying. It's also the same actress that does Amy, the pink animal girl, in Sonic X.
Speaking of which, I find it funny that a lot of the voice actors in YGO are also in Pokemon, Sonic X, and Kirby. LOL Well, I guess it's not that funny since 4Kids Ent. dubs all those shows. Kaiba's V.A. is Brock from PM! hahaha! Yami's is doing Professor Birch in the new season, Pokemon: Advance. He's also Knuckles in Sonic X, which is pretty cool.
