Fantasy-- Some of you may be wondering why this site is called the Temple of Fantasy when there is nothing relating to "fantasy" here. Well, sit and prepare yourself for a pretty long explanation.
fantasy-- A creative imagination; an unreal image.
paraphrased from Webster's Dictionary.
You see, I consider Anime a genre by itself. Now, I know that there is fantasy- as in dragons, unicorns, and people using magic- Anime. That "fantasy" I consider a sub-genre of Anime. Like, sci-fi Anime, mecha Anime, girl/boy Anime.
The "fantasy" I'm talking about is your imagination, like daydreams. Reality is what's going on now, you reading this explanation. Fantasy is the creativeness going on in your head. And Anime is created by very imaginative people, plus I don't see people flying around, mechas stomping through cities, teen girls shooting sprinkles at monsters, and etcetera. So, I'd say that's pretty much in people's heads, don't ya think?
I hope this explains what I'm thinking. To me, I know what I'm getting at. But to explain it and show people what I mean, is in itself very hard. If you still don't get it and really want to understand, e-mail me. I'll try to explain it simplier if I can.
I had this conversation with my sister, by the way. It took about 10 - 15 minutes of explanation for her to understand. But that's only because she kept interrupting me in the middle of each example I created to explain it better.
American futon-- This is what I call the futons you see in American furniture stores and such. It has a couch frame that folds into a bed. The cushion part is a giant thin mattress that folds along with the bed. I've been wanting one for a long time. They're also available in bunk bed style! Really neat!
srs.-- abbreviation I use for series.
