When out of Senshi form, Shizuka is usually seen wearing her waist-length green hair back in a braided ponytail, a T-shirt with some kind of anime picture or logo on it, a pair of blue jeans, and black Converse sneakers.

Her green hair is tied back in a ponytail with an orange band. Her Senshi fuku is white with a yellow sailor collar, orange, transparent sleevelets, and a yellow skirt. A orange and yellow ribbon connects the skirt to the uniform, forming a big yellow bow in the back Yellow gloves with an orange stripe at the top cling to her forearms ending at the elbow. At the center of the yellow bow on her chest is a gold hourglass embedded in an orange heart.

Shizuka has a personality that fluctuates with the surrounding environment. At one moment, she is bubbly and talkative with her friends at the mall, but at a Senshi meeting- this being a rare occasion-, she is serious and attentive.

As a Senshi, she is very deadly and will take down any enemy, no matter how dangerous, at all costs. As her position as Watcher of the Past and Future Corridors, she takes this occupation very seriously. No mistake goes unnoticed, for she is constantly on guard.

She thought very highly of the Senshi* of the Sol System- our system. She thought of the Inner Senshi as younger sisters and was especially close to Princesses Jupiter and Venus. She, Neptune, and Uranus were very good friends. She was also very close to Princess Saturn. She and Princess Pluto were best friends as well sisters; see Janus: the Princess in History of SailorJanus.
